What you need
An administrator login for the WordPress site, and a ConsentCook account. The Free plan covers one site and needs no card.
Install the plugin
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins, then Add New, and search for ConsentCook.
The ConsentCook plugin appears in the results.
Choose Install Now, then Activate.
A ConsentCook item appears in the left-hand menu.
Open ConsentCook from the menu and follow the prompt to connect your account.
The page shows your site as connected, with the name you gave it in ConsentCook.
Check it is working
Open your website in a private browsing window. You should see your banner. If you do not, give it a minute and reload — and if it still is not there, read “My banner is not showing”.
