What the check does
It visits your site the way an ordinary visitor arrives — before agreeing to anything — and writes down everything that loads. That is the list regulators care about, because anything that runs before consent is something the visitor never agreed to.
The three groups
Needs fixing — something is running before your visitors agree. These are the ones to deal with.
Waiting for you — we found something we do not recognise and cannot classify for you. Tell us what it is for and we will handle it from then on.
Fine as it is — either necessary for the site to work, or already held back until consent.
What to do about “Needs fixing”
Most of the time, nothing by hand: ConsentCook already holds back the trackers it recognises, so publishing your banner clears them. Where something is not recognised, tell us what it does on the results page and it gets held back from the next publish.
Some things cannot be held back by any consent tool — a few are set by your hosting platform itself. Where that is the case the results say so and explain what your options are, rather than leaving you chasing something that cannot be fixed from here.

The live chat is on every page, or email support@consentcook.com. A person answers, on every plan.
